A few years back I fell for my ex’s lies and out of my love and stupidity went to the city hall with him. We got married but then I came back to my senses and got the whole thing anulled. Now I am about to marry the love of my life. He knows about the whole affair, but his parents don’t and I do not want them to know. We will be getting married in a city hall first and then have a ceremony at a Catholic Church a half year later. We were advised by the booklet the Priest gave us to disclose any previous marriages, but to be honest I do not want to do that either. It was a mistake of my youth and stupidity and I do not feel like sharing this information with anyone but my fiance. So my question: Will my ex’s name show up on the marriage certificate we get from the City Hall after we get married there? I know it is showing up on the Marriage License, but that is a different document. If we get married at CH first, all the Church will need is the certificate. Thank you for your help!
