[ Programming & Design ] Open Question : How do computer understand programming codes?

Ok, I know like how the commands look like and how programmers put it into the system for the computer to read and interpret the command. nBut what I am so frustrated about is “How did/do the computer know how to read the commands?”nLike who made the computer understand the programming language. nI know you got to tell the computer a specific set of instructions to follow to successfully execute a program but who invented the computer to understand all those codes? I’m not talking about binary code but I’m talking about codes like, n——-nshow(“How do computers understand programming language”); nect ect.nThanks, any help I would appreciate it!
