Right now, I am trying to enter the Navy, but there was a incident where I threatened a kid in eighth grade which went to court because some twits in the class decided to say I was going to bring a gun to school.
The gun bit (complete BS, BTW: I never said anything along those lines, only threat was of a fight) was dropped, but the threat charge has left me in a very awkward state of limbo in my enlistment process. I turned 18 in May, yet I still have yet to head down to MEPS,
The incident is completely not indicative of how I act now, and now I have to wait on the BUMED to give me the OK to go down to MEPS. Other recruiters at the office told me that I would deal with this in whatever branch I want to go to, which is why I am hesitant to head to somewhere else.
Does my 94 on the ASVAB give my any bargaining power with other branches, or should I just pack it in?
