A hot air balloon was never recovered by a man’s family. He rented the property and died in a traffic accident. It has been over two years and other tenents have sinced lived on the property. The family did come to the property and recover most of his belonging, but left the balloon in the garage. It was left on my family’s land (which is currently used as a rental property). It has been thought that maybe it can be sold to recover some expenses from renovating the property. The balloon has a serial number and is registered with the FAA. I do not know anything of the regulations regarding such a sales transaction and would appreciate any insight.
