My boyfriend lost his job a month ago. Every since, he has been sitting around waiting for his unemployment to kick in, which he new had no guarantee cuz he was fired (unjustly). Today he got a letter in the mail stating that his unemployment was granted. He is happy, but I feel mad. I’m trying not to show it, but I have some resentment. I work 2 jobs and he has none and all he has been doing for the past month is sit on the phone with me every chance he gets while I’m at work. I have been extremly supportive until now, now I am just fed up. I told him that I was laid off before so I know what it feels like to loose a job. I told him to take it easy for a week or so and get your head together, but it’s been over a month!! We were talking about getting married and moving in together before his job loss, now he has been saying once his unemployment kicks in we can move in together!! I am thinking this is a big mistake. He says I will have dinner ready and the house clean when you get home, which means he aint tryna find a job no damn time soon!! I work 2 damn jobs, I have a 16 yr old and a 17 yr old son leaving for college in a week. This past week I tried cutting down on the phone conversations, for we are VERY close, we have a great relationship (approx. 9 months). Cuz I am just sick of working around the clock while he sits at home on his azz watching tv and talking to me. I even have to make time after I work my second full-time job on the weekend to go spend time with him. He is very intelligent has a bachelors degree I just thought he would be pounding the pavement by now, cuz he is always saying how he hates to see me work 2 jobs. Did I create a loser by saying take some time to yourself?? Should we move in together? I got bills too, but I rather keep struggling than have a unemployed man hanging around. Any advice?
